The trained and qualified staff at Learn and Leap aim to provide learning opportunities to children, young people and adults alike. Education is directly linked to your ability to access opportunities presented throughout life. These opportunities may be further studies, job opportunities and good health.

The facts are that:
- 17% of the population are functionally illiterate
- 40%+ of the population are not coping with every day reading and spelling tasks in society (e.g. reading maps, filling in forms, using the internet)
- Our kids are 27th (and falling) on the literacy scale (the lowest out of 48 English speaking countries)
- 25% of year 4 students failed to achieve the minimum standard in reading
- 76% of youth in detention have poor language and literacy levels attributed to education opportunities and learning difficulties
